In November 2008, Electromet was selected by DRS Technologies to provide the electronic enclosures for an important DDG-51 modernization backfit program called the Repair Station Console (RSC) system.  The development of these systems will automate and integrate shipboard damage control communications, which will increase the survivability of battle-damaged ships.  The RSC systems will be installed on U.S. Navy Surface combatant ships and will communicate over the shipboard Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System (GEDMS) network.
