News : Electromet Adds Environmentally Friendly Chromate Conversion Coating

Electromet has added MIL-DTL-5541 type II chromate conversion coating to its array of in-house finishing capabilities. Type II coatings contain no hexavalent chromium and therefore pose lower risks to the end users, manufacturing operators and the environment, as well as reducing disposal and other costs, while maintaining performance. They are also RoHS compliant. By adding this type of coating to its portfolio, Electromet is continuing its policy of bringing selected processes in-house to better control delivery, cost and quality, resulting in enhanced service to its customers.
